At 1 p.m., police responded to Irvine Turner Boulevard and Marie Place and found a man who had been shot, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. He was transported to University Hospital and is in stable condition, Fragé said.
The shooting remains under investigation, Fragé said.
